Juridical situation >>> Case reassignement to another Court

On 4 October 2004 the lawyers of Gregorian Bivolaru request the reassignment of the case to a court outside Bucharest, considering that Bucharest law courts cannot not be objective and impartial any more, due to the excessive publicity and the high pressure of the media.

In addition to the media assault another scandal arouse among the magistrates of Bucharest, when a judge, yoga practitioner, is accused of having performed in an adult movie together with other MISA followers (accusations proved untrue, however completely ruining the career of the judge), and at the same time accusations started to spread about other judges being MISA members or followers. All these led to an emotional reaction from Bucharest courts that took a harsh and disproportionate measure.

The High Court of Cassation and Justice admitted the request on 25 November 2004 when the case is reassigned to Sibiu Court.
